 With more than 20 years of media experience in front of the cameras and behind the microphones, Jo and Paul Stone can offer media insights like no others. The Sticks & Stones PR media training package is innovative, informative and encouraging. We give you live, on camera experience with a qualified camera operator. Our instant replay facilities allow us to examine your performance and give you immediate tips to improve your performance. But it’s not just about TV: we’ll also teach you skills that you can use in radio, print and online interviews, plus presentation techniques that work for any public speaking.

Half Day Courses

We start by giving you a media industry overview so you understand the mechanics of news gathering and how to deliver what journalists actually need. You’ll find out how a newsroom works, what makes something newsworthy and how to find a story in your organisation. Our Anatomy of a News Story is an innovative look at how all the elements fit together.

We then take you through individual on-camera interviews, reviewing your presentation on immediate playback, working on ways to lift and polish your presentation.

  • Each session is a bespoke training package written for you. We discuss the skills the team needs and tailor each individual interview practise to match, using relevant content to master the techniques.

  • Use our on-site studio at our Brisbane office or we come to your boardroom location Australia-wide.

    We love to travel! Virtual media training packages are also available.

  • Half Day courses are usually 4 hours long for a maximum of 4 people but call us to discuss your needs. We are flexible and innovative so we can create something just for you!
